A shock entry into the running...
According to the Athletic, former England manager, Sven-Goran Eriksson, is another name in the running for the job at Sheffield Wednesday, although Tony Pulis still remains the favourite.
Eriksson has been out of work since leaving the Philippines national team last year.

Following the news that Tony Pulis is in ‘advanced talks’ with Wednesday, it would appear Sky Bet has now suspended betting on who will become the club’s next manager.
The Welshman had gone from second favourite to ½0 in a very short period of time before the online betting company put a halt to money being placed on its manager special.
Now punters are greeted with the message ‘event is no longer available’.
Pulis in ‘advanced talks’ to take over at S6
Tony Pulis is now understood to be in advanced talks with Wednesday over replacing Garry Monk as manager at Hillsborough.
Respected Daily Telegraph reporter John Percy says the former Middlesbrough, Stoke City and West Bromwich Albion boss could be appointed before the weekend and is likely to put pen to paper on a contract at S6 until the end of the season.

Pulis to hold ‘second round of talks’
Tony Pulis has reportedly held preliminary talks to take over at Wednesday.
The 62-year-old former Stoke City, West Bromwich Albion and Middlesbrough manager has been out of work since leaving Boro by mutual consent at the end of the 2018/19 season.
Now Sky Sports is reporting that the Welshman will hold a second round of talks with the Owls in the next 48 hours.
