Sheffield Wednesday will be going in search of a third successive League One victory when they face Peterborough United at the Weston Homes Stadium on Saturday lunchtime.
The Owls, who produced a historic comeback to reach the League One play-off final the last time they faced Posh in May 2023, maintained their encouraging start to the season with a 2-1 come-from-behind win over Wycombe Wanderers on Tuesday evening.
After falling behind to Cauley Woodrow’s early opener, Wednesday flipped the game on its head via goals from Louie Barry, who was later forced off with a serious ankle injury, and Jamal Lowe.
It was confirmed on Thursday that Barry will be sidelined for up to three months with ankle ligament damage, meaning Owls boss Henrik Pedersen will be forced into at least one change to his starting line-up in Cambridgeshire.
Ahead of the clash with Peterborough, The Star has had a stab at predicting how Wednesday might line up for their latest League One assignment...

5. LB: Reece James
James has been so solid since returning to Wednesday last month that Max Lowe’s absence has barely been felt. The former Rotherham United man has not put a foot wrong in any of his first three appearances since returning to the club, making him a shoo-in at left-back. | Getty Images

6. CM: Billy Mitchell
Mitchell has made a fantastic start to his Wednesday career, slotting seamlessly into the midfield. He makes everything look simple in possession while bringing plenty of energy, intensity and aggression out of possession. He has quickly established himself as one of the first names on the teamsheet. | Steve Ellis

7. CM: Barry Bannan
After being declared fit to start against Wycombe after being taken off with an ankle complaint against Bromley, Bannan completed 87 minutes of the contest. He was substituted in the latter stages after picking up a yellow card a few minutes earlier. He is another guaranteed starter. | Getty Images

8. RW: Kieran Morrison
Introduced early on at Adams Park to replace Barry, Liverpool loanee Morrison will now be pushing for his first league start in Wednesday colours. Brought in to strengthen the Owls' right-wing options, he could start on his preferred side, meaning Pedersen may have to shuffle his pack slightly. | Getty Images
