  • The Owls are continuing their preparations for the new season at Loughborough University
  • Wednesday face Leicester City on Saturday (12noon)
  • Josh Windass and Jonathan Leko on Owls’ radar

It was reported in the national media that Sheffield Wednesday had had a bid for spritely West Brom forward Jonathan Leko accepted earlier in the week.

But it seems that they may have missed out, with Leko having been widely reported to be undertaking a medical at nearby Birmingham City.

The switch is a blow to Wednesday but one they won’t be too shocked by - St Andrews was always Leko’s more likely destination.

Attention now turns to Josh Windass and their pursuit for options up top.
