Those player ratings from Hillsborough..

One game at a time, clawing back each team as they come. That three points is always ahead of us.

That rest is important now, we need to keep the group together and keep working.

We work every day on finishing and different situations.

GM on Borner in the wars

I’ve never experienced a few weeks like it. In that area in particular, not having that effect.

Two clean sheets, that side of it has been great. We created more than enough chances.

It’s in the back of the mind, being honest about it, that week that we had, we should have got to positive points on our own.

I try to stay balanced for that reason and from experience.

You saw how tired with them coming off that pitch. We couldn’t have done any more.

I don’t like making excuses, but I defy any team with the disruption we’ve had to the backline not to have some sort of effect.

We’ve shown solidarity and some solidness to our game.

We just lacked that final bit, it’s just not going in for us.

It’s been a boost. We wanted to show a response and we set out what we wanted to do, especially with the disruption he showed there.

We’ve had a lot of disruption in the last two weeks.

I couldn’t have asked for more in terms of commitment and effort. It was a good response, two clean sheets, six points.

GM on coming off bottom

Nobody is happy with the situation we’re in, but that’s been out of our hands.

Apart from a very poor week we’ve been very good. We ask for teams to fight and players to run, we’ve done that.

There’s a good feeling in that changing room, a slight disappointment today not taking the win. It could have been six points quite easily, especially coming off the back of knowing we needed to show a response.

GM on going into the break

That was an extremely huge blow that week. The three performances were below par and in terms of a response we can’t do better, we were in a position to take six points.

We’re off the bottom of the league and we should feel positive about that.

We’re creating chances and doing everything right to get to there, we only need one or two of them to go for us and we’ll score goals.

The key is to keep working, to keep creating chances and to make sure we can improve going forward.
