MILLWALL have made an offer for on-loan Owls centre half Mark Beevers, Dave Jones revealed today.

It is not yet clear whether the defender will be staying with the Lions or coming back to Hillsborough, whether that is early to help the Owls through their injury problems or in January when his loan is scheduled to end.

Jones said he was considering an early recall but it was not yet known whether or not Anthony Gardner would miss Sunday’s game at Cardiff.

Lewis Buxton, Jay Bothroyd and Rhys McCabe will have injuries assessed and yet have to be ruled out.

But Gardner’s hamstring problem is minor compared to the one that hit him early in the season.

Jones confirmed that an early recall for Beevers was being considered but added: “They (Millwall) have made an offer for him. It’s something the club are considering. We let him go out; he needed to go out; maybe he’s found the right club and is happy.

“But if it’s right for us to bring him back, then he’ll come back.”

The size of Millwall’s offer has not been disclosed.
