MILAN Mandaric and Dave Jones will meet tomorrow to discuss the Owls’ progress in the transfer market.

Chairman and manager will talk about business already lined up and what may be done in the coming weeks.

Mandaric has been out of the country but will have been kept abreast of developments.

Behind-the-scenes work done already by Jones and the content of the face-to-face meeting will be confidential but the manager confirmed: “There are lots of things going on.”

An official announcement by Wednesday of the signing of Oldham right-back Kieran Lee is likely next week.

Jones made light of his presence at the reserve game at the Etihad Stadium on Thursday between youthful Manchester United and Manchester City sides. United won 2-0. “We take in a lot of games,” said the Owls boss, who was among many scouts and managers there.

Jones will also watch today’s Championship play-off final between Blackpool and West Ham.

The Owls have been linked with keeper Tom Heaton, who has been released by Cardiff.

The goalkeeping department could be among various issues to be be discussed at tomorrow’s meeting, with Richard O’Donnell having been released and Stephen Bywater and Arron Jameson out of contract, though both are receiving new offers.
