Milan Mandaric has described this season and last as his hardest time in football.
But he remains positive and believes that the Owls can turn around their fortunes.
The Wednesday chairman was looking for progress in the Championship after promotion in 2012.
But two successive relegation battles have left him admitting: “This is my hardest time in football: these last two years have been killing me.
“I have to make sure we get out of this. We have to be strong and brave; that’s what it’s going to take, and if we are then I think we’ll be all right. We have to be positive and find additional energy.
“When I came here the club was in League One, and there were not too many investors at that time. I was confident we could go up, and we did.
“But we have really struggled in these last two seasons. I want us to put that right for our wonderful supporters who have been so patient.”
The team’s struggle has hit the chances of a takeover in the near future but Mandaric is determined to revive the club.
