The centre-forward has failed to recover from illness and misses out for the third match on the spin.

Unsurprisingly following their no-show at Stoke City on Boxing Day, Owls boss Garry Monk has freshened up his starting XI. He has made three changes, handing recalls to Sam Hutchinson, Jacob Murphy and Sam Winnall.

Massimo Luongo is ruled out with the head injury he suffered in the second half of the clash at the bet365 Stadium while strikers Atdhe Nuhiu and Jordan Rhodes have dropped to the bench.

Goalkeeper Keiren Westwood (shoulder) and Fernando Forestieri (knee) remain on the sidelines.

The Owls, currently lying in fourth position in the Championship, are on an eight-match unbeaten home run.

Owls: Dawson; Palmer, Lees, Iorfa, Fox; Murphy, Hutchinson, Bannan, Harris; Reach, Winnall.
