Monday, 8th February 2021, 3:59 pm

The Owls travelled to south London in buoyant mood after an upturn in form which had seen them win four out of five games as they continue their battle to avoid the drop to League One.

But their bid to climb out of the relegation zone was a dealt a blow with a worrying second half collapse after taking an early lead through Callum Paterson against the Lions at The Den.

We’ll have more reaction to that and the latest in the search for a new manager as attention now switches to tomorrow’s crucial game against fellow relegation-threatened Wycombe Wanderers at Hillsborough.

Double boost for the visitors?

Wycombe Wanderers duo, Joe Jacobson and Dominic Gape, returned to training for the Chairboys last week, and while neither featured in their 3-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest over the weekend, they could return at Hillsborough tomorrow night.

Jacobsen got the assist when Wycombe beat Wednesday last year, and has directly contributed to more goals this season (6) than any other of their players.
