Why the Owls rejected deadline-day bids for their players...

Who's Wednesday's main creative force this season?

'The answer may shock you...'

Pelupessy helps new boy settle in at Hillsborough

Sheffield Wednesday's Joey Pelupessy is lending a helping hand to one new boy at Hillsborough.

Alessio Da Cruz had barely stepped foot in the country before he got a message from fellow Dutchman Joey Pelupessy welcoming him to Wednesday.

'I want players at the club that are determined and have a good attitude'

Crystal Palace's Connor Wickham joined Sheffield Wednesday on deadline day.

The three loan signings brought in to breathe new life into Wednesday’s play-off push showed a desire to play for the club despite interest from elsewhere, according to Owls boss Garry Monk.

Monk confirms deadline day interest in players

Cardiff City and Wigan Athletic are believed to have expressed an interest at the back end of the window in Wednesday striker Jordan Rhodes. It is thought Cardiff and Wigan explored the possibility of taking Rhodes on loan until the end of the season.

Owls overcame a host of clubs to land Da Cruz - report

Wednesday had to overcome the challenge of several clubs to land loan signing Alessio Da Cruz from Serie A side Parma.

Popular midfielder Sam Hutchinson faces uncertain future

Sam Hutchinson was left out of the matchday squad to face Millwall on Saturday.

Sam Hutchinson's future at Wednesday is looking increasingly precarious, the Star understands.

The uncompromising midfielder was left out of the Owls' 18-man squad for Saturday's goalless draw with Millwall at Hillsborough.

Barry Bannan and Joey Pelupessy were selected in the centre while academy graduate Alex Hunt was preferred to Hutchinson on the bench.

The 30-year-old's present Owls contract is set to run out this summer and it looks highly unlikely that Hutchinson will be involved when Monk's side return to Championship action at Barnsley on Saturday.
