Wednesday have never beaten City in the competition, having faced them on six occasions previously.

Their last meeting was a 2-1 defeat at the Etihad Stadium, where Atdhe Nuhiu memorably giving the Owls the lead. That clash came barely three months after City beat Wednesday 7-0 in the League Cup.

The Owls booked their place in the fifth round with a win at Queens Park Rangers on Saturday while City beat Fulham 4-0 a day later.

Fifth round ties will take place in the midweek of March 4. The move to midweek is designed to avoid further disruption to the league calendar.

There will also be no replays at the fifth round stage and beyond.
