Sheffield Wednesday: Jos Luhukay on the chances of a first-team recall for Sam Hutchinson

Sam Hutchinson will play no part in Sheffield Wednesday's next two fixtures, manager Jos Luhukay today confirmed.

The Owls travel to Nottingham Forest tomorrow night as they look to stretch their unbeaten Championship run to five games, before heading to Aston Villa on Saturday.

Hutchinson has recovered from a groin problem, but Luhukay will resist the temptation to bring the midfield man back into the first-team fold.

"Yesterday he trained to an individual programme and today he trained with the team," the boss said.

"This week is too short for him to come back to the squad. He trained today for the first time after 10 days not training with the team."

Hutchinson, who had two loan spells at Forest earlier in his career, hasn't featured in the Championship since Wedneday's last defeat, a 2-0 loss at Brentford on August 19.

He was on the bench for subsequent wins over Millwall, Ipswich Town and Reading but his groin complaint ruled him out of last Saturday's 2-2 draw with Stoke City.

"After the Nottingham Forest game, we have only two training sessions before Aston Villa," Luhukay added.

"Sam is maybe not 100 per cent yet on the physical side and we don't want another problem with the injury situation, so we will take no risks."
