Dave Jones is encouraging his players to keep their nerve as they make another attempt to bag their first win of the season.
The Owls manager insists that the club are close to a breakthrough and that results have not been an accurate reflection of performances.
“You hold your nerve; stay strong, not losing sight of what you are trying to do,” he says.
“You take all the positives that people are doing within the club and try to eradicate the mistakes.
“I believe in the players here. They’re a strong bunch; they’ve done it before; they’ll do it again.
“The players we have here are probably a bit better than the ones we had last year.”
Jones is looking to recent signings Roger Johnson, Stephen McPhail and Matty Fryatt to aid a recovery, especially as they regain match fitness.
The manager says the club need to compensate for the arrival of Fryatt before making further, immediate signings.
“We’re alway looking; we still need to move people out,” he commented. “We brought Matty in and we have to cover that.”
