Sheffield Wednesday join race for youth international goal-machine, Norwich battle Brentford for midfielder

Sheffield Wednesday's already packed schedule got a little busier last weekend, when the Owls’ clash against Swansea City was called off due to a frozen pitch, meaning another fixture will joining the already heaving backlog of unplayed matches.

Announcing the postponement, the club revealed: "The Owls’ Championship home game against Swansea has been postponed due to a frozen pitch.

"A pitch inspection at Hillsborough was conducted on Friday and the surface deemed unplayable. The fixture will be rearranged with details announced in due course.”

Wednesday return to Championship action tomorrow evening, when they travel to take on Stoke City at the bet365 Stadium, and former Owls Steven Fletcher and Morgan Fox look set to feature against the side they left last summer.

However, the Potters should be without star man Nathan Collins, who left the field on a stretcher following an injury suffered against Norwich City over the weekend.

The last time the two sides met, back in November, they played out an uninspiring goalless draw at Hillsborough, in a game which the visitors dominated possession but were unable to take their chances in front of goal.
