Jack Hunt has not got an assist to his name so far this season – and that fact is frustrating the flying full back.

Hunt has made a solid impression for the Owls since joining on loan from Crystal Palace, cementing himself as the first choice right back.

But he admits he will not be content until he begins providing assists for his team mates.

“Everyone knows I like to get forward but I would like to create more goals,” Hunt told the Star.

“I do see myself as an attacking full back who causes a threat and creates goals.

“I would rather get assists on the board and help people score goals and win penalties because I’ve done that all my career.

“It’s quite frustrating for me not to have got an assist this season.

“I know I just have to keep going and it will come.

“That’s what I want to add so I will carry on working hard and I’m confident in my own ability. It will come.”

The 24-year-old admits he is enjoying life at Hillsborough but believes the best is yet to come from him in a Wednesday shirt.

And he is conscious that Liam Palmer is waiting to reclaim the right back spot.

“I want to play as many games as I can and keep the shirt because I know Liam Palmer is champing at the bit to get it off me,” Hunt said.

“I don’t think I’ve played anywhere near my best football or fulfilled by potential yet.

“I’m working hard to try and find a little more form.

“I don’t think I’ve got anywhere near as many assists or created chances as I would like but as long as the team are successful, I don’t mind.

“I’ve been part of a successful team so far and we went 11 games unbeaten which was very good.

“But we need to kick on now.”
