The draw for the fourth round of the Carabao Cup will take place on Thursday, September 17 after Brighton’s second round clash with Portsmouth, live on Sky Sports.

Laura Woods will host the draw, with former Aston Villa midfielder Lee Hendrie picking the numbered balls out the hat.

Why is the fourth round being drawn when the third is yet to be played?

The fourth round draw will be made on an either/or basis as the round three fixtures will not yet have been completed.

This is to help enable the EFL, clubs and broadcasters to plan with additional clarity over a busy period of fixtures.

When will the fourth round ties take place?

Fourth round ties are due to take place on the week commencing September 28, one week after the third round ties will be played.

How can I watch?

Four matches will be broadcast live on Sky Sports from each round, with fixtures that are not scheduled for TV streamed online for those in the UK only.

Ties involving two EFL clubs will see the game streamed on iFollow club equivalent service. Ties involving Premier League clubs will be streamed via carabaocup.live.
