The youngster has played every minute of Championship football since coming in as a late replacement for injured captain Tom Lees against QPR in August.

And he continued his renaissance throughout November, providing two assists along the way in matches against Swansea and Blackburn.

Along with Lees and fan favourite Julian Börner, Iorfa faces a three-way battle for the two spots in the Owls defence for the clash with Brentford on Saturday, as the German prepares to return from suspension.

Iorfa, often used as a right-back since arriving at the club in January, has expressed how happy he is to have been given an extended run at centr-half.
