Stuart Gray says Atdhe Nuhiu has been ‘unplayable’ at times this season.

But the Owls boss insists the towering Austrian striker must focus more on what he is paid to do – namely getting in the box and scoring goals.

“For a good 25 minute period against Nottingham Forest, Atdhe was unplayable,” Gray said.

“What he needs to do is keep plugging away and make sure he keeps getting into the box where we can get balls into him.

“That is where Atdhe is going to be judged and he’sll be judged on scoring goals.

“It must be said he does a lot of fantastic work outside the box as well though.”

Nuhiu has scored four goals in seven matches so far this season, a figure he will no doubt be slightly disappointed is not greater after missing a number of gilt-edged chances in several games.

But the 25-year-old has been singled out for praise by a number of opposition managers due to the problems his physicality poses defenders.
