Another away day is coming up for SWFC...

Thousands of Owls fans will be able to attend an upcoming away league match.

Sheffield Wednesday have started the new League One season with a win at Leyton Orient and a home defeat to Bradford City, leaving them in mid-table in the early weeks.

After being knocked out of the Carabao Cup by Wolves on Tuesday night, they now turn their attention to another home game against newly-promoted Bromley, who are unbeaten after beating Barnsley at Oakwell and drawing at home to Cambridge United. This is the first time The Ravens have ever played at this level before.

After Bromley, Wednesday then make the long trip to Wycombe Wanderers on Tuesday evening before they are back on the road against Peterborough United, who have just spent a significant fee on young striker Danny Ormerod, 20, from AFC Fylde.

Wednesdayites don’t have fond memories of their last visit to London Road, a 4-0 defeat in the League One play-off semi-final first leg in 2023, although the reverse fixture at Hillsborough turned out quite nicely. Unlike the allocations given by Orient (1,250) and Wycombe (1,842), Peterborough have offered The Owls 3,972 tickets for the fixture.

The match on Saturday, September 5 is live on Sky Sports and kicks-off at 12.30pm but that is unlikely to stop Wednesday fans from taking up their full allocation. Owls supporters will be spread across two stands and tickets, which go on sale to season ticket holders on Thursday morning at 10am, are £30 for adults.
