Ex-Wednesday players Nigel Pearson and Nigel Worthington were named today as Manager of the Month winners.
Pearson’s prize comes as he leads Leicester into a game against his former club which could take the table-topping Foxes to the brink of promotion from the Championship.
Worthington has turned York into League Two play-off contenders and in seven games in March they took 19 points and conceded only one goal.
Former Sheffield United boss Dave Bassett, chairman of the judging panel, said: “Leicester only conceded three goals in six games, so this award is thoroughly deserved for the Sky Bet Championship pace-setters.”
Bassett said of Worthington’s honour: “This is a just reward for a very well organised team.”
