Darren Moore made a couple of changes as he lined up against Scott Brown’s Cod Army once again at Hillsborough, with Mallik Wilks and Callum Paterson entering into the fray on a cold afternoon at Hillsborough.
The Owls had to fight back from behind once again to avoid defeat on Saturday, with a Joshua Earl own goal levelling things up after Promise Omochere had opened the scoring for the visitors.
It wasn’t pretty, and another trip to Fleetwood isn’t what Wednesday would have wanted - but it is now 21 games without defeat for Moore’s outfit.
Here’s how we rated the players after a bitter clash at S6:
9. Liam Palmer - LCB
Another player that Moore could be tempted to rest given how many games he’s played this season, but the defender has been outstanding and look to be getting even stronger. Could be captain again. | UGC / Steve Ellis
10. Lee Gregory - ST
This one completely depends on his availability after he missed the last game with a bit of tonsillitis, but if he’s given the green light then it could be a big chance for him to get amongst the goals again. | UGC / Steve Ellis
11. Michael Smith - ST
Took his goal against Ipswich brilliantly to make it eight league goals this season, and he’ll be desperate to hit double figures before the month is out. Photo: UGC
