Sheffield Wednesday fans pictured in another 30,000 crowd as club record is matched against AFC Wimbledon

Owls fans continue to turn out in strong numbers

Sheffield Wednesday have equalled a club record of six successive home league attendances of more than 30,000.

The landmark, equalling a record last achieved in 1956 and 1991, was met in style as The Owls hammered AFC Wimbledon 5-0 on Saturday to climb back into the play-offs.

Two goals from Davis Keillor-Dunn and strikes from Barry Bannan, Harry Gray and Callum Slattery sealed an emphatic victory and extended their unbeaten run to nine in all competitions.

If Wednesday can get another 30,000 plus crowd in their next home game against Cambridge United, it will be the best sequence since 1953.
