Barry Bannan and Moses Odubajo both sit on four yellow cards for the season so far after their bookings against Norwich City and Barnsley respectively, and now need to try and avoid another yellow card in Nottingham if they’re to face Coventry City.

The Owls have the worst disciplinary record in the league so far in 2020/21 with 32 yellows and five reds (only two teams have more yellows and no other side has got more than three reds), while six players in total have served one or three-game suspensions over the course of the campaign so far.

Massimo Luongo was the latest victim after he picked up his fifth yellow against Reading at the start of the month, and both Bannan and Odubajo have just one game to get through in order to avoid the same fate.

As stated by the FA’s rules, players will be suspended for one match if they pick up five yellows in their first 19 games, for two matches if they get 10 in 37, and three if they receive 15 by the end of the last game of the season.

The clash with Forest tonight is the Owls’ 19th game, so the pair will get some breathing space after that one, and Pulis will be desperate to have as many players available as possible as Liam Shaw returns to contention after serving his three-game ban for a dismissal against the Royals.
