Sheffield Wednesday defender posts grateful message after club exit is confirmed

Sheffield Wednesday’s ‘retained and released’ list for the 2020/21 season has been made public, with no fewer than 10 players set to leave the club at the end of their contracts next month.

And among the players to have had his future sealed is wing-back Moses Odubajo whose release will bring to an end a difficult two seasons with the club.

Brought in on a free transfer from Brentford by his former Hull City manager Steve Bruce during the summer of 2019, he struggled to settle, showing only glimpses of his pace and quality.

He made 46 appearances in a Wednesday shirt, the last of which was on New Year’s Day when a hamstring injury ended his time with the club.
