The award, sponsored by Bristol Street Motors, pits the Owls skipper against five Championship rivals; Swansea’s Andre Ayew, Leeds’ Luke Ayling, West Brom’s Sam Johnstone, Cardiff’s Lee Tomlin and Millwall’s Jed Wallace.

Lees was an ever-present in an up-and-down December for Wednesday, keeping two clean sheets and scoring in back-to-back games against Stoke and Cardiff.
