Owls have 'surprise' loan bid for Wigan Athletic midfielder knocked back
Wednesday have reportedly had a loan bid for Josh Windass rejected by The Latics, according to The Sun's Alan Nixon.
But apparently the Owls' interest in the 26-year-old might not end there.
We know that Wigan boss Paul Cook wants to bring in Jordan Rhodes on loan, so could a possible swap deal be on the cards? We'll keep you posted throughout the day.

Wednesday are again being linked with former Rotherham United man Jonson Clarke-Harris, according to Football Insider. The 25-year-old has scored 10 goals in 16 starts for Bristol Rovers so far this season in League One. But The Owls will face competition from Cardiff, Charlton and QPR.

Cardiff City 'eye last-minute transfer' for Jordan Rhodes - but he could be used in swap deal for Wigan's Josh Windass
Cardiff City are interested in signing Owls striker Jordan Rhodes.
According to Wales Online, Bluebirds boss Neil Harris is going to make an 11th-hour move for the 29-year-old.
Rhodes joined Wednesday in January three years ago from Middlesbrough for a fee of around £8million.
But the forward's Owls career has never really took off despite his superb goalscoring record at his previous clubs.
Interestingly, Football Insider is reporting that Rhodes is being offered to Wigan in a swap deal for midfielder Josh Windass. Definitely one to keep an eye on.
