Sheffield Wednesday finally confirm Davis Keillor-Dunn transfer
Sheffield Wednesday have announced the signing of Davis Keillor-Dunn from Wrexham
Sheffield Wednesday have confirmed the arrival of attacker Davis Keillor-Dunn from Wrexham, after a protracted process.
It was reported on Tuesday evening, deadline day for transfers this window, that Wednesday were moving in on the former Barnsley star after being made aware of his availability.
Owls officials were against the clock in trying to get a move ratified but used a deal sheet to take them beyond the 11pm finish, before further ratification was needed from authorities.
On Thursday, the move was finally announced by both Wednesday and Wrexham.
The deal keeps the player at the club until January 2, 2027.
I’m over the moon, to be honest,” he said.
“It's such a huge club with massive ambition and I'm just buzzing to be a part of it and try and get the club where it needs to be.
“Even before I knew of the interest I was watching, because it's such a big club and you don't want to see a club like that in a sticky situation.
“It's amazing for the football club to be in the place they're in and the clarity around the place and the ambition here is just fantastic. You'd be crazy not to want to be a part of it.
“I’m someone who just works his socks off for the football club and ultimately loves to create chances and score goals in front of big crowds.
“I'd like to see myself as a big game player and score big goals for the football club, so hopefully I can do that.”
Keillor-Dunn becomes Wednesday’s 18th signing of their big summer rebuild and will wear the number 50 shirt.
