Sheffield Wednesday boss Carlos Carvalhal is on the shortlist for the Championship's Manager of the Month Award for September.
The Owls head coach led his side to four wins out of five over the month, with a defeat at Birmingham City the only blot on the record.
It was the manner in which Wednesday won the games that saw Carvalhal nominated, though, with the Portuguese's side coming from behind to take victories over Wigan Athletic (2-1), Bristol City (3-2) and Nottingham Forest (2-1). There was also a hard-fought 1-0 success away at an improving Blackburn Rovers.
Carvalhal goes up against Newcastle United manager Rafa Benitez, Reading's Jaap Stam and Norwich City's Alex Neil.
Newcastle had three wins from five in September, scoring 13 goals including six in an emphatic victory against QPR and an incredible turnaround against Norwich to win 4-3 in the dying seconds of the game.
Neil's Norwich have a similar record to Wednesday with four wins from five, while Reading have three wins from five, but ended the month with a 4-1 defeat to Brentford.
