If any Sheffield Wednesday players were still on a high following their sensational 3-0 victory over Arsenal on Tuesday night, then they will have been quickly brought back down to earth by head coach Carlos Carvalhal.

While obviously delighted by the memorable success against Arsene Wenger’s side, the Portuguese was refusing to get carried away and he warned his players to immediately turn their attentions to the next challenge.

The Owls take on Nottingham Forest at Hillsborough on Saturday, aiming to take their impressive unbeaten run to ten games.

“We don’t have time to celebrate as we have another another game on Saturday,” said Carvalhal.

“We must keep our feet on the ground.

“We are winning because we are doing very good team work.

“We have very good organisation and all the players are putting the team first and personal interests second. We can’t sleep or we will come down very quickly.

“When you are winning, all teams are confident.

“We have not lost for a long time but we must keep everyone’s feet on the floor. We must work hard to put the focus on the Nottingham Forest game.

“It is a dangerous game as they are a quality team. If we don’t focus, we could have problems.

“But I know my team and that they must fight a lot and focus on the next time.”
