Wednesday - fifth in the Championship - have been strong in their own backyard this season, suffering just one defeat in 10 league matches.

Three of their next four fixtures are on home soil, starting with Sunday's meeting with seventh-placed Bristol City.

After facing the Robins, Wednesday travel to relegation-threatened Stoke City on Boxing Day before hosting Cardiff City and Hull City.

Lees told The Star: "We know we have to stay consistent and not get too carried away when things go bad or equally when they go well.

"We have to keep doing what we have been doing and not forget what has got us into this position.

"We know have got some tough games coming up. With the run that we are on, everyone will be wanting to come to Hillsborough and make it difficult.

"Teams might sit in and make it difficult.

“But we have got two lads up front (Jordan Rhodes and Steven Fletcher) who are in good form so we have to keep giving them good service and stay concentrated."

Bristol City head to S6 on the back of successive home defeats to Millwall and Blackburn Rovers. But Lee Johnson's men, who currently lie outside of the play-offs on goal difference, have only lost twice on the road this term.

Lees said: "They have done well and I'm sure will be right at it. They have good players and are always very well-organised."
