OWLS right back Lewis Buxton could be back in contention for a recall this week.

He is being assessed ahead of tomorrow’s match at Burnley but manager Dave Jones feels it is more likely that he will be fit for the home game against Hull on Saturday.

The defender has been out with a hamstring injury since the game at Crystal Palace a month ago.

Wednesday are also checking on Rhys McCabe (thigh) before settling on a line-up to face Burnley.

Jones said: “There’s a bit of illness in the camp, and a couple of fitness tests going on.

“We’ll see how they are, assess it tomorrow and I’ll pick the team tomorrow.”

Kieran Lee (gashed ankle) is likely to miss out again, which increases the likelihood of another outing for Jermaine Johnson as a stand-in right back.
