Sheffield Wednesday boss Garry Monk reveals whether Steven Fletcher will be fit to play Derby County

Fletcher came off the bench last Saturday in his first appearance since picking up a knee injury against Brighton in the FA Cup in early January.
The Scot followed that up in midweek with an injury-time winner against Charlton which ended a terrible run of form for the Owls.

Hide AdMonk admits that Fletcher is still some way off being back to 100% fitness, however the boss recognises his importance to the team and will make a decision on where he fits in today.
“He's not fully fit,” said Monk. “The normal process when you are out for that long is you would come back, get a block of training and possibly some minutes with the 23s.
“As we said, it's needs must. We know he's a big influence on what we've done so far this season. Every minute he gets will help him.
“He's rehabbed well, he looks after himself really well. We will just have to take each game as it comes, see where we we think he’s at and as always select him if needed in the team or come on from the bench.

Hide AdAsked if he could start, Monk added: “Possibly. We have got training so I will have a good look at him. It’s a quick turnaround so (it’s about) freshness and a lot of other things to go and play – the main thing is select the right team who hopefully, whether they start or are on the bench, can contribute.”
