Sheffield Wednesday: All the major talking points from today's press conference before the Nottingham Forest clash

Here's a run-down of the main issues.

JOS LUHUKAY:

Kieran Lee latest: The midfielder isn't training. He's having treatment for a knee injury unrelated to his previous hip complaint. It will be 'a few weeks' before he can train again.

Gary Hooper comeback: The striker may play 90 minutes on Friday for the under-23s after previous spells of 45 minutes and 60 minutes for the Academy side.

Injuries: No new problems after last Saturday's Stoke City clash.

Changes for Nottingham Forest tomorrow? The boss is consulting with the club's fitness coaches before deciding. There's a possibility of changes in a week of three matches.

Hooper comeback gathers pace

New boys: Josh Onomah will come more into the first-team reckoning now that he can train fully with the Owls after the international break. The same applies to fellow loanee Michael Hector.

Forest away: 'We are Sheffield Wednesday. We must try to win every game. But we have a lot of respect for them. They have high technical quality with good speed.' Promotion contenders.

The Championship: 'There are maybe eight, nine teams looking at promotion. It is a tough league.'

No league clean sheets: 'Defending alone isn't enough. We must also do more in attack to score goals. I can live with winning 3-1, 5-3. Fans like attractive games with goals. The more players we have who can score goals, the less predictable we are.'

Why Wednesday need Bannan

Barry Bannan one caution from a ban: 'I speak with him. We hope it (the fifth booking) is not coming! We hope he plays a good game tomorrow with no yellow card. Barry will go tomorrow and not think about that.'

Sam Hutchinson: Back in full training today after doing some work yesterday but won't be considered for Forest or Aston Villa on Saturday.

 

JOSH ONOMAH:

Early days at Hillsborough: Says players and staff have made him really welcome.

2-2 comeback draw against Stoke City on his debut: Shows the team have 'great resilience'. Delighted to get some game-time as a second-half substitute. Pleased the Owls scored while he was on the pitch!

Hillsborough crowd: Loud. Great atmosphere. Fantastic stadium to play at.

Fighting for a place: Big squad, great competition. 'No bad apples' in the group, he says. All in it together. Great morale.

Why Wednesday for his loan spell? Big club. Talked with Luhukay. 'He seemed like a trustworthy man.' There were other offers, but 'the gaffer' was a big influence. Talking to Wednesday for two weeks before the move went through.

Personal ambitions with Owls: Wants to 'showcase' himself on and off the pitch. Getting older. Wants to play.

Forest test: Forest are hard to beat. Owls must be patient and stick to game-plan.

His midfield style: 'I like to defend, I like to attack, I like to get a goal.'
