The 25-year-old has established himself as an indispensable member of the Owls team since arriving in a £5m deal from Middlesbrough over two years ago.

Reach was the standout performer last term, winning the Wednesday player of the year award, and he has already notched two goals and claimed an assist in seven starts this time around.

"I am feeling good and the fitness levels are as high as I would like them to be," said Reach, who has been utilised in an advanced midfield role.

"I am always someone who tries to give 100 per cent with high energy and give my all.

"There are always things I can improve on and I try to realise those things and set targets for myself.

"For me, it is always about trying to improve week in, week out, and trying to emulate the form I showed last season. First of all, I am a team player."

The left-footed player is expected to be one of the first names on the teamsheet when the Owls welcome Stoke City to Hillsborough following the two-week international break.

Boss Jos Luhukay has described Reach as a "fantastic" player, saying he is an "important" part of the team.
