Sheffield Wednesday: Adam Reach confident Owls will make winning a habit

Adam Reach says Sheffield Wednesday have more than enough quality in their squad to put them on an extended winning run once they return from the international break.

Inconsistency has been an issue so far this season with the Owls having won five and lost four of their opening 11 games, however winger Reach believes it could only take a couple of notches on the ‘win’ tally before the promotion push ‘snowballs’.

With league leaders Huddersfield Town next up, a week on Saturday, Reach told The Star: “In an deal world (we’d already be on a winning run) but that’s the Championship for you.

“You come up against tough games, there are tough opponents every week and it’s very difficult to put a run together, so thats obviously the aim.

“If we get one win and then turn that into two, then it snowballs.

Like I keep saying, we’ll try and put it right against Huddersfield.”

Reach, a record signing from Middlesbrough, added: “It’s not like every other team is winning every game and we’re not. Every team are dropping points all over and it’s early. We have still got 75% of the season to go and I’m sure we’ll be up there or thereabouts.

“Form is an issue, we’re a little bit inconsistent but I’m sure we’ll put that right and push up the table.”
