It is ‘looking increasingly likely’ that Sheffield Wednesday will keep Neil Thompson in charge for the rest of the season, that’s according to TalkSport’s Alan Biggs.

Indeed, the interim boss is a 3/1 contender to replace Tony Pulis at Hillsborough.

However, former Manchester United legend Roy Keane has been installed as 1/1 favourite by SkyBet this morning, with Vladamir Ivic priced at 3/1.

But questions remain around whether the former Ipswich boss would be a good fit to work under Dejphon Chansiri.

In an interview with the Irish Times, Keane cited differences with Sunderland’s then shareholder Ellis Short and strains with club chairman Niall Quinn as the factors in his decision to resign as Sunderland manager back in 2008.

Paul Cook, who has reportedly held talks with the Owls, is priced at 11/2.
