Hide AdSpeaking to BBC Sheffield’s Adam Oxley he said: “I knew at half-time Wednesday were winning. I didn’t tell the lads that, I didn’t think the lads needed any more motivation to win the game.
“I then knew they were drawing and I was told they were winning 3-2 and I don’t know if that’s still the case?”
Told of Derby’s equaliser he looked crestfallen. “Wednesday?” he said, “OK. That’s disappointing.
“I’ve got a lot of things I don’t want to say about that.”
Like Wednesday in recent weeks, the Millers passed up a number of opportunities to make ground on the safety spots but ultimately seemed to run out of steam.
