Djeidi Gassama and Anthony Musaba got the goals at Loftus Road as the Owls ran out 2-0 winners against QPR, and though it didn’t change their league position it did get them back on track in their battle for survival in the Championship.
There were some strong performances out there for Danny Röhl’s as they gave him the reaction he’ll have been hoping for after the Middlesbrough result, and many will be pleased with how they performed.
Take a look at our ratings from a good day in the capital below:
5. Akin Famewo - 7
Was brought in to replace Marvin Johnson on the left of defence, and looked good for the most part. Wasn't the biggest threat getting forward down his side, but did the defensive side of his job well. | UGC / Steve Ellis
6. Ian Poveda - 7
A really unfortunate afternoon for the attacker, who looked very bright in the opening half an hour before he was forced off with what looked like a hamstring injury. Should have had an assist to his name, too. | UGC / Steve Ellis
7. Liam Palmer - 7
Palmer was back in the middle for this one, coming in for Will Vaulks, and was a tidy presence in the midfield for Wednesday. Did his job well and was combative when he needed to be. | UGC / Steve Ellis
8. Barry Bannan - 8
Was a vital cog in the heart of the Wednesday machine, and it was a proper heart on the sleeve job from the skipper. He's a tone-setter with his intensity, and he dictated things well in the middle of the park. | UGC / Steve Ellis
