Here’s how we rated the players after a disappoining night at the DW.
5. Morgan Fox - 8
Released a pin-point cross for the opener and held up a solid left-hand side in defence - which looked poorer for his absence. The fans sang his name more than anyone elses on the night - who'd have thought that a few months ago? Off with what looked like a groin injury on 51 minutes. Photo: Steve Ellis
6. Jacob Murphy - 6
Followed up his man of the match display in the FA Cup with another dangerous display and while there will again be question marks over his delivery in good positions, it was another attractive performance from the wide man. Photo: Steve Ellis
7. Barry Bannan - 6
Back in from a weekend off and looked well for it. His ball to slip Fox in to cross for Murphy's opener was sublime - peak-Bannan. Got about but sat very deep in Hutchinson's absence - could he have made more of a regular impact higher up the pitch? Photo: Steve Ellis
8. Joey Pelupessy - 5
Picked for only his fourth league start of the season and looked slow on the ball, forced back time and again by an energetic Wigan central midfield. Tidy enough at times, but struggled to get a stranglehold on a game that was crying out for it. Photo: Steve Ellis
