Sheffield Wednesday had another chance to get out of the relegation zone tonight, but it was always going to be a tough ask against a Brentford side at the other end of the table.
The Owls did ok in the first half but went into the break 1-0 down. They rallied a little bit in the second 45 but never looked like too much of a threat, and they crumbled when the second went in.

Didn’t really have too much to do. No blame can lie at his door with the goals, made a really good save towards the end and almost stopped the third. Photo: Darren Staples

. Matt Penney - 5
Battled to stamp his mark on the game, couldn’t get any balls of note into the box. Photo: Steve Ellis

. Tom Lees - 6
Put in a real shift, won so many headers and was really in the wars at times. The best performer on a bad night. Photo: Stu Forster

. Liam Palmer - 5
Got outmuscled a couple of times, and possibly could’ve done better with the second goal. Photo: George Wood

5. Osaze Urhoghide - 5
Tidy enough showing from him, did ok. Second goal was a bit of a disappointment. Photo: Steve Ellis

6. Kadeem Harris - 5
Not through lack of trying, but wasn’t the attacking threat he can be. A couple of defensive errors. Photo: George Wood

7. Sam Hutchinson - 5
Not a bad performance in the centre of the park, although it was far from his best. Photo: Steve Ellis

8. Barry Bannan - 5
Tried his best to try and make something happen. Had an effort on goal and put some decent balls into the box. Photo: Steve Ellis
