The Owls were beaten 3-0 by West Bromwich Albion in midweek, and will be determined to produce a response against the Swans in the Sunday lunchtime kick-off.

Writing for Sky Sports, ex-Wednesday man David Prutton has backed the Owls to earn a 1-1 draw at the Liberty Stadium.

Revealing the reasons behind his choice, Prutton claimed: "Swansea have some terrifically talented young players in their side and will push right to the end to try and reach the top six. You can be sure of that.

"Sheffield Wednesday were OK against West Brom on Wednesday night, but for the first time since the restart really did look a team in mid-table with not a lot left to play for. I do, however, fancy them to bounce back and get a draw on Sunday."

The last time the two sides met back in November, Garry Monk's side fought back from a goal down to score twice in ten minutes and take a 2-1 lead in injury time, only for Swans defender Ben Wilmot to level things up in the dying seconds of the game.

Historically, the Owls have struggled against the Welsh club, winning just twice in their last ten matches, in a record stretching back to 1984.
