Casting his full set of predictions for Sky Sports ahead of the game, former footballer David Prutton backed a 2-1 away win for the Owls.

Elsewhere, Prutton tipped Huddersfield Town to beat Birmingham City, Millwall to beat Preston, and stalemates in Swansea City vs Stoke, and Derby County vs Cardiff City.

The last time Wednesday played the Millers, back in August 2019, the Owls edged a 1-0 win in the Carabao Cup, thanks to Atdhe Nuhiu's 96th minute winner.

Over the course of their last ten matches, Wednesday have won on five occasions to Rotherham's two, with three of the encounters ending as stalemates.

As things stand, the Owls are bottom of the table on minus four points, while Paul Warne's side are 18th with six points from seven matches.
