Windass was arguably Wednesday's best player last season, and his end of season form very nearly played a big role in keeping them in the Championship. May not be at Hillsborough next season as interest continues to grow.

Wednesday’s side will look very different next season with a whole host of players confirmed to be moving on, a move that will help Dejphon Chansiri bring down a wage bill at the club that has been severely weighing them down.

According to the German website, Wednesday’s two most valuable players - Adam Reach (£2.5m) and Tom Lees (£1.9m) are leaving the club for free at the end of the month, but that doesn’t mean that they don’t have any players left who are worth some money.

SWFC apparently have six players who are worth upwards of £1m still on their books – and it’ll be interesting to see how many of them are left by the time the transfer window comes to a close in a few weeks’ time.

Wednesdayite's haven't seen the best of Green yet, but with a good preseason under his belt then he could prove to be a real threat for Moore's side in the third tier.

Here’s the top 10 most valuable Owls players, according to Transfermarkt.com, as things stand:

The captain, the reigning SWFC Player of the Year, and you'd have to say a potential League One Player of the Season contender if he sticks around and plays to the level he's capable of. Could be huge in 2021/22 if another club doesn't try and tempt him away from Hillsborough.
Dunkley had a very stop/start 2020/21 season, but has been shown to be working very hard in recent weeks to make sure that he's ready and raring to go when preseason gets underway.
One of just five players in the squad with an apparent market value of upwards of £1m... He's looking likely to leave for Hannover in Germany soon, with reports stating that he'll be going for free as the club look to cut down their wage bill.
The centre back/central midfielder is expected to be at Hillsborough next season after an extension in his contract was triggered - and he said that he was more than happy to stay, even in League One.
Another player that, if fit and firing, could be massive in League One. He's battled with injuries for a while at Wednesday now, but is undoubtedly one of the most talented players in the squad.
If he stays, Iorfa has the potential to be one of the best players in League One next season... He was attracting big interest prior to his Achilles injury, but now the focus will be getting more games under his belt as he seeks a full recovery.
Paterson is another player that had a decent 2020/21 season on a personal level despite the problems thrown at Wednesday, and no doubt there are a few clubs keeping an eye on him following the club's relegation into League One.
Sheffield Wednesday don't have too many players left for next season - but who are the most valuable?
