Sheffield Wednesday have found themselves in a bit of a tough run of form of late – but if they can get a result away at Ipswich Town then the pendulum will swing back in their favour once again.

We’re talking to the manager this morning to get all the latest news ahead of the trip to Portman Road, so keep it locked on our blog for updates.

Darren Moore LIVE: Sheffield Wednesday prepare for Ipswich Town

And that’s a wrap...

That’s all from the Gaffer today.

He’s ready for as and when we want to bring him in. He’s had a good session today, and then they’ll train again tomorrow and then we’ll be on the coach down. He’s part of the squad - but we don’t know if he’ll be involved.

Like Josh he’s with the medical team - as and when they progress further down the line I’ll be the first to comment.

We felt that, at the time, that it was a matter of changing... His contract had run out, and he opportunities coming in. We wish him well going forward, we’ll see him at the weekend.

We spoke to his advisor over the summer, but it wasn’t to be. That’s football. Some you win, some you don’t, but we wish him well. He’s got a good move, and we know his capabilities.

Every ounce is taken into the next game, and it’s the same here... We need to get to a level and stay there, and there’s a lot of work to do in terms of that.

DM on this weekend’s test

The next test is always the biggest test... Don’t look at the clubs, it’s a test for us but also a big test for them.

Such is the division, and the turnaround of games, I think a lot of teams will take points off each other... You can predict some teams with household names and fanbases, but the season has shown already that anybody can beat anybody. I don’t think things have settled down properly yet.

DM on Ipswich’s start

There’s no hidden formula... For them it might just be down to timing - from a distance, in terms of the turnaround, it’s similar to us. I think it could be that.

Every game that SWFC are in, we want to win... It’s a great game on Saturday - two teams with huge turnarounds in terms of recruitment, and two teams going head to head in the division.

It bodes well for a great game of football down there. We’ll have to be at our absolute best.

You’d like to think we can get a settled side... But we’re a team that’s come together over preseason, a lot of players need minutes and games - some of them are still getting up to speed. There’s more cohesion now, and for the first 30 minutes against Shrewsbury we saw that.

We want a settled group, but sometimes the fixture list will dictate. With the turnaround of games, sometimes it’s impossible to keep the same output.
