The list of players released by last season's Premier League clubs has been revealed, with the usual mix of youngsters and experienced campaigners.
Zlatan Ibrahimovich's departure from Manchester United after one season was confirmed and that was the highest profile name on the list.
Some had already been known with John Terry confirmed as a free agent after leaving Chelsea while Gael Clichy, Jesus Navas, Pablo Zabaleta, Bacary Sagna and Willy Caballero are all among those released by Manchester City.
Elsewhere, Yaya Sanogo has been released by Arsenal while Arouna Kone at Everton and Fraizer Campbell at Crystal Palace have also not been offered new deals.
Sunderland's relegation from the Premier League looks to have prompted a shake-up of their first team squad with Victor Anichebe, Sebastian Larsson, Joleon Lescott, John O'Shea and Steven Pienaar all deemed surplus to requirements as well as Will Buckley who spent last season on loan at Sheffield Wednesday.
Another player who had a loan spell at Wednesday has also been released by his club. Southampton's Wales international Lloyd Isgrove, who made eight appearances towards the end of the 2014/15 season has been released by Southampton.
Isgrove also spent almost a season at Barnsley where he won the Football League Trophy and also helped the Reds to promotion from League One.
