Premier League and a home draw - Sheffield Wednesday and Sheffield United's FA Cup routes have been revealed

Sheffield Wednesday and Sheffield United booked their spot in the Fourth Round with 2-0 and 3-2 wins over Exeter City and Bristol Rovers.

The Owls and the Blades put in solid showings over the weekend as they both saw off lower-league opposition to make sure they were in the hat for tonight's draw, an

Goals from Adam Reach and Callum Paterson made sure that Wednesday saw off Exeter, while Oli Burke and Jayden Bogle’s goals after an own goal from Rovers’ Joe Day made sure that United survived a bit of a scare at Memorial Stadium.

Neil Thompson’s side have been drawn against Premier League opponents, and will travel to Everton for their fourth round game, while Chris Wilder’s troops are at home against Plymouth Argyle.

On top of that, the decision was made for the Fifth Round draw also to be made this evening, with Wednesday’s next opponents – if they make it – being Wycombe Wanderers or Tottenham Hotspur at home.

For United, should they beat Plymouth they will have another home clash, against the winner of Millwall v Bristol City.

The Fourth Round games are due to take place on the weekend of January 23rd, with the Fifth Round set to get underway on February 10th.

Last year SWFC made it into the Fifth Round before being knocked out by Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City, while SUFC made it into the quarterfinals before falling to eventual winners, Arsenal.

Sadly, for both sides, fans will not be able to attend as games continue to be played behind closed doors.
