It's been announced today that six Sheffield Wednesday players are now out of contract and possibly/presumably/probably on their way out of the club.
Jose Semedo, Claude Dielna, Vincent Sasso, Modou Sougou, Darryl Lachman and Urby Emanuelson have all been named, while as reported, here, young goalkeepers Joe Wildsmith and Cameron Dawson look set to be offered new contracts.
Earlier this week we asked fans to tell us which of the eight players were deserving of staying and which should be let go and the results are in.
Unsurprisingly, a number of those players were given few votes on the 'new deal' front.
Emanuelson and Lachman have, between them played just 16 more minutes for Sheffield Wednesday than I have.
As a result, fans voted 83% and 95% respectively in favour of them being shown the door at Hillsborough.
Also receiving a thumbs down, and again unsurprisingly, were Dielna and Sougou who had 95% and 92% of fans stating that they too should be on their way.
After that it became a little tighter.
On the goalkeeping front, 58% felt that Dawson should be offered a new contract while a whopping 90% felt that Wildsmith should stay on.
Central defender Vincent Sasso also split opinion, with 57% believing he should stay on.
And then there's Semedo - a hero at Hillsborough.
The Portuguese is much loved and while his impact on the pitch is not what it used to be, off it he is a hugely popular figure. In the vote 65% felt that he should be kept on. The rest, it appears, could possiblyhave got their wish.
