5. Moses Odubajo - 7
May have deserved an eight, but one or two defensive lapses cost Owls momentum. A real threat going forward yet again, his cross for Paterson's first half chance was a thing of excellence. Growing in confidence with every match. Photo: Steve Ellis

6. Kadeem Harris - 7
Really energetic, a bustling performance. Where Harris isn't producing the attacking numbers he offered when he burst onto the scene last season, he's performing an equally important role this time out. Defensively excellent. Photo: Steve Ellis

7. Adam Reach - 7
Pushed into the middle, Reach seems yet again to be a victim of his own adaptability, but with Luongo shuffled elsewhere, it was a wise change from Monk. Was denied one of his classic long-range worldies by a classy save from Etheridge early doors. His energy late on was vital. Photo: Steve Ellis

8. Barry Bannan - 8
The Aston Villa graduate loves to score at Birmingham. His celebration said so. And it was glorious. A slightly quiet first half was blasted from memory by a clever, classy second half display. Deserved the headlines for belting the winner from the spot. Photo: Steve Ellis
