Ultimately, everyone took a hit somewhere. The players, manager Gary Monk and chairman Dejphon Chansiri all had some portion of blame attached to them.

@AdamScott_4 posted on twitter: “What’s happened!?!? It’s absolutely dreadful #swfc far too many sloppy passes and no where near enough chances against the rock bottom club in the division! Should of been 5-0! Get Fletcher back in ASAP”

@ArsenalBehave added: “Hard to think that with pretty much the same squad we looked so much better under Bruce at the end of last season then now. We have no game plan players don’t seem to know what positions they are supposed to be playing Monk has to buck his ideas up quickly.”

@BenBarlow_91 said: “Tried to stick up for Monk through these last few tough weeks, but I can’t defend that tonight. Forestieri at LWB? Are you sure?”

@jack231997 was somewhat sympathetic towards the manager, posting: “Feel slightly sorry for GM, I know at times questionable tactics but what can we expect from this set of players? We overachieved with CC, never sold players and gave injury prone players and older players big wages and long term contracts. No structure or plan at the club.”

And @baowl didn’t put all the blame on Monk either, saying: “I don’t think monk is either the problem nor the solution. We have deep issues at the club that haven’t been resolved in decades. It needs gutting from the top if anything can ever change.”

He also posted: “Genuinely didn’t even care about tonight’s result. Feel like I’ve got zero emotion about Wednesday right now. Can’t stand any of the players or management!”

@Chezricho said: “Pep couldn't turn this one round, need to get rid of players, cant turn a sows ear into a silk purse.”

@Sam_Boldan fears the worst: “We’ve actually become such a joke of a club. Can seriously see us heading down the route of Chesterfield/Bolton if no change happenens soon.”

@MattSummerhill said: “We have an incredible ability to shoot ourselves in the foot. You cannot make the basic errors these players make week after week and expect to win at this level. Clear out needs to begin 3rd May.”

@NewYorkOwls said from afar: “Monk will rightly take a lot of stick for recent results. But he's trying to change things. We looked a different team with Fletcher up top and without him we've been flailing. No idea why his loss impacts our defence so bad, but it feels like no confidence anywhere.”

And @jonogarnett is expecting many to follow him in losing faith: “Got a bit of stick walking out after the Wigan game for saying that's me done with this season. If they don't show any passion for it then why should I, etc. Tonight I reckon another 1,400 might have made the same decision. Vote with your feet. Blind faith isn't working.”
