Darren Moore’s side could move back into the play-offs with a win, which would be their second in as many League One games after they thumped Sunderland 3-0 last time out to move within two points of sixth spot.

Steve Evans’ Gillingham are 19th heading into the clash with just one win in six.

Sheffield Wednesday vs Gillingham LIVE

Key Events

  • Sheffield Wednesday could move back into the top six with a win
  • Lee Gregory misses out for the Owls
  • Nineteenth-placed Gillingham have just one win in their last six

All going to plan for the Gills

Cries of ‘cheat’ echo around the Grand Stand as another Gillingham player gets a ticking off for time-wasting. It’s all going to plan for them and they won’t mind being the party-poopers. They haven’t really been threatened much either.

Better from Wednesday

The Owls try to respond to the crowd’s energy and Kamberi’s ball finds Corbeanu (who else), but he opts to shoot rather than cross this time and it lands in the grateful arms of the Gillingham keeper.

Better from Wednesday though, there’s about 20 minutes left to find an equaliser.

Paterson misses a sitter

That should be 1-1. Corbeanu, who is terrorising Gillingham’s defence, finds the Scot unmarked in the area with a low ball but he fires it wide with the keeper wrong-footed.

He’ll be seeing that in his sleep.

Jamie Smith gets a telling off from the fourth official.

He replaces Lewis Wing.

The usual routine: Corbeanu gets the better of his man and delivers the ball into a dangerous area. This time Kamberi connects with his head but the effort sails over.

Chance for the Owls

It’s Corbeanu again. Dele-Bashiru feeds the winger out wide and he carries the ball into the box and sends a delivery across the six-yard area, but no one is there to tuck it in.

We’re back underway

No changes for either side.

It’s been frustrating a below-par all round, with Corbeanu the only exception.

Joe Wildsmith - 5

Liam Palmer - 5

Olamide Shodipo - 5

Barry Bannan - 5

Callum Paterson - 5

Fisayo Dele-Bashiru - 5

Marvin Johnson - 5

Florian Kamberi - 5

Chey Dunkley - 5

Theo Corbeanu - 6

Lewis Wing - 5

Liam Palmer gets a lesson after Daniel Phillips manages to flick the ball up and over his head - and then find a team-mate. Momentarily wonderful stuff.

The Gills are enjoying themselves and having a spell of their own.
